Befrienders Needed
Befrienders offer friendship and practical support to clients who can be isolated or new to the area of Watford and Three Rivers.
We are currently looking for people who have empathy, are good listeners and are non-judgemental. You will need to have an hour or two a week to spare.
Support our clients by:
Keeping in touch regularly and maybe going for a coffee or a walk.
Helping clients to understand everyday letters e.g. Utility bills
Helping to make appointments for free food/clothing/GP.

Volunteer Caseworkers Needed
This role is for people who already have some previous experience in people facing roles. We are looking for people who have empathy, are good listeners and are non-judgemental. You will be supporting a small number of clients who have more complex needs and require extra support to get through difficult situations. We are looking for people who have two to four hours a week to spare. You will be offered support in this role by the Partnership.
Support clients by:
Providing moral support in meetings and making sure the client understands.
Making phone calls or supporting a client to make calls.
Helping with form filling and letter writing
Working with clients on solutions to more complex issues e.g. debt.

Fundraising Volunteers Watford and Three Rivers Refugee Partnership are looking to recruit volunteers who are able to fundraise creatively in the local community and with businesses to support our charity. Our aims We offer practical and emotional support to asylum seekers and refugees in Watford and Three Rivers. Many of our clients are destitute, homeless and have no access to assistance from the government. Our mission is to provide access to advice and essential services until statutory services are in place. Our needs The Refugee Partnership is a volunteer-led organisation with a growing client base. We also continually need funds to support us in providing food vouchers for our clients as well as assisting clients in their basic living needs and the increasing cost of legal fees. What we are looking for We would like to establish a fundraising group of volunteers who will focus on promoting fundraising opportunities for the WTRRP. Social Hub team volunteers needed! Do you currently volunteer with WTRRP? Do you have some spare time on a Tuesday morning? Would you like to get involved with a small, friendly team, working directly with clients, at the heart of the charity? The WTRRP Social Hub takes place in the Lounge at St Mary’s Church, High Street, Watford every Tuesday from 11.30am to 1.30pm. We offer a friendly, fun space where clients can sit down with a hot or cold drink and a snack and sit peacefully – or chat to other clients and volunteers. We set up tables for games and arts/crafts and lay out donated clothes, baby items and hygiene products. We also invite a variety of useful community services to come in and introduce themselves to clients. And we have regular singing sessions, run by professional teachers. We would love to grow our Social Hub team – please come and join us! We begin setting up on a Tuesday at 11am and finish by 1.30pm.
