Feeding our community

Since 1 April teams of volunteers have packed and delivered 9,881 Kg of food in 1002 boxes plus 260 packs of disposable nappies to 105 adults and 110 children in 70 families.

Every fortnight a team of 5 volunteers pack boxes at the Food Bank and 8 more drive around Watford delivering the food plus whatever treats we are given in 4 vehicles for over 2 hours each.

Since March, 43 adults and teenagers have helped with this military-style operation under the command of General John Gray (modelled on Charlie for those those who remember Charlie’s Angels), who keeps the machine well-oiled from his swivel chair in Watford.
