2018 Annual General Meeting

Dave Smith from the Boaz Trust will be our guest speaker. Dave founded the Boaz Trust in 2004, and he now works them two days a week to build the capacity of like-minded organisations and individuals who want to see an end to destitution amongst asylum seekers and refugees. As part of this work, Dave founded and now coordinates the National No Accommodation Network (NACCOM) which links over 35 organisations from across the country who provide accommodation to destitute refugees and migrants. Dave also seeks to campaign for an end to destitution alongside partner organisations and groups such as ‘City of Sanctuary’ and ‘Still Human, Still Here’. Dave has written two books (The Book of Boaz and Refugee Stories) based on his personal experiences and reflections having worked alongside asylum seekers and refugees over many years.
